Pension payment in Denmark

Hi!

I am going to move to denmark to work and i will be eligible to choose the International pension scheme. I am trying to figure out if it makes more sense to me to get an exemption from pension payment or to choose the international pension scheme. have the following questions:

1) What insurance coverage is usually included when paying into a pension (it will probably be the Sampension or Akademikerpension), especially in comparison to the Danish State Group Life Insurance?

2) In caso of choosing to withdraw the paid pension after leaving denmark, is inflation considered (if not it is basically like losing money)?

3) If pension is paid as salary, can that increayse the income tax I have to pay as my salary will be higher or is the pension considered ether way for income tax calculation?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

2)

The sum will depend on the yield of the investment

It depends ...............

3)

If your pension is paid as salary, it will be taxated as the rest of your salary.

It's personal which scheme will be the most advantageous. It depends ..............

You may find that this answer is of minor help, but it reflects how complicated this issue is.

I find that UCPH has an excellent guide: https://ism.ku.dk/salary-tax-pension/pension/

Otherwise, I take that the HR of the company can explain the different options available to you, so you feel prepared to make the right decision for you.

Thank you very much!

It truly seems confusing. But your answer is still helpful, thanks.
