World Diplomatic Organization (WDO) cooperates with and engages world Leaders, governments and civil society organizations with respect to the formulation, adoption and implementation of hosting their annual Summit & Events policies and development strategies. Young Professional Development Society Nepal (YPDSN) is a nonprofit community based organization working towards professional development, youth and women empowerment, education and livelihood promotion. Youth Entrepreneurship and Tourism for Social Development (YESTD) is a youth lead organization working on youth professional capacity building, entrepreneurship promotion and development with tourism exchange and social advancement. WDO, YPDSN and YESTD is jointly organizing the World Diplomatic Summit (WDS) on October 16 & 17, 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal.
WDS is an international event founded to lead change, provide solutions to the World’s problems in all sectors, and improve the state of the World, by bringing together the World Leaders to discuss the most pressing issues facing the world. The Summit engages the foremost Global Leaders, policy makers, practitioners, think tanks organizations, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and global goal agendas. The theme of the summit is “preparing the Youth towards future leadership, diplomacy and governance for the achievement of the SDG Goals. The event shall gather hundreds of Young Leaders and Delegates from around the world, who will come to discuss the most pressing issues facing the progress of the Youth and the world, and hence share common interest in practical solutions for sustainable development goals through global ideas.
The Summit focus will be on the creating strategic solutions, with presenter topics including:
Empowering the Youth to be positive change makers for the 2030 Agenda
Given every young person the opportunity to live a better by 2030
Achieving the SDG’s through Health, education, Gender and social interventions
The Roles of the Youth in Achieving the Global Goals and the world expectations
Dialogue to deepen understanding, connect participants and mobilize for action
We will focus exclusively on the most important development and challenges of our time. Our vision is ambitious, which is nothing less than to reshape the World through the Sustainable Development Goals, especially to better the lives of the Youth and Young People globally with 2030 agenda of the United Nations. Our partners shall include the United Nations agencies in Nepal, the Millennium Promise Alliance, Government of Nepal, and many other organizations around the world. We expect several hundreds of people from Governments sectors and the diplomatic Missions, leading International Organizations and Agencies, academic institutions, Youth-Led NGOs from around the world.
The World Diplomatic Summit engages the foremost Global Leaders, business and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas in the areas of leadership, diplomacy and governance. The Summit will bring together a network of global shapers for youth empowerment and opportunity, youth and SDGs and youth leadership.
This Summit will comprise the following programs
Plenary Sessions: There will be separate plenary sessions focusing on the theme of summit. Selected participants will present and discuss various issue in line with the theme of the summit.
Workshops: The workshop will include discussion led by Diplomats, experts, academicians, and youth leaders, including leaders from international organizations and civil society on various themes and moderated by the leader.
Cultural Activities: This will include cultural performances from the participants to show the cultural diversity of the countries.
Organizational Fair: Exhibition fair of national and international organizations showing their areas of work specially in line with the summit theme. Posters, displays and presentation to be made by the organization.
