I am planning on moving to St. Kitts this fall. Just waiting for my home in Toronto to sell and I will be on the next plane. I'm 66 years old so I hope I enjoy living in St. Kitts and I'll live here for many years to come. I've developed a long list of things I need to do before arriving. However, there isn't really much I can do from Toronto until my departure is finalized and I know where I am going to live.
I am planning to purchase a home and move much of my current belongings including my car to St. Kitts. I figure the first few months I will be busy as can be. I'm really hoping that I can meet lots of people and establish new friendships. Also that I quickly get the lay of the land and that I have bought a home in the right area. I obviously have a lot to learn and a lot of arrangements to make. So far I have met with a couple real-estate agents and a lawyer that will guide me through the immigration process.
If anyone has any tips or suggestions I welcome your thoughts. I don't mind making small mistakes along the way.
