I am hiv positive and want to fly to vietnam to work as a teacher. I am hesistant because of the health certificate. Is there any information about if hiv test is mandatory? Thank you.

I see you've read over a few of the many (link) posts we've had on this very subject. It is a subject/concern which comes up regularly.

Have you also read the notice from the website of "Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the United States of America"
