Opened in 1974, the school educates more than 1,350 students from pre-primary to 3eme (Year 10), i.e. from 3 to 15 years old of all nationalities.

From the age of 6, students can join the International Section. The French International Baccalaureate is recognized by the best universities across the English speaking world.

L'Ecole du Nord is a private school under Mauritian law, under agreement with the Agency for French Education Abroad (AEFE).

The teaching is in conformity with the programs, the pedagogical objectives and the rules of organization applicable, in France, to the establishments of public education. The school receives financial support from France.
