Meubelrestauratie Vaes is an Belgian antique furniture restoration company. The company is located in Houthalen-Helchteren, and it has been in business for over 30 years. Meubelrestauratie Vaes specializes in the restoration of antique furniture, including marquetry, Boulle work, and French polishing.

In my restorations, I use traditional materials and techniques, such as bone glue and hide glue, so that an antique restoration is never irreversible. My goal as a restorer is to preserve as much of the original material as possible, so that the authenticity of the furniture is preserved. With attention to the old patina and without making the repairs noticeable.

We only restore antique furniture.

We also conserve rotten or woodworm-infested parts.

We repair breaks and cracks, make missing parts, and make everything structurally sound.

Repair carvings, woodturning, wooden statues, and antique wooden toys.

Restoring fire or water damage (only in antique restoration) and rework previous repairs.
