SETTLING IN

• Find the perfect home. We guide and support you throughout every stage, such as: viewings of shortlisted houses, contracts, utilities, etc.
• The best school: Guidance on international schools, visits, selection and registration.
• Familiarising your self with the neighborhood: Tour and guidance on supermarkets, pharmacies, shopping centres, banks, family doctors and dentists in the vicinity.
• Paperwork: Registration at City Hall, car importation, social security number, driver's license, pets, opening up a bank account for expats and much more.
• Culture: Cross-cultural and language courses.

I have more than 15 years background of living in different countries: Thailand, France, EEUU , Spain and now, The Netherlands. After gaining experience in relocating expats in EEUU and Spain, I decided to put all my knowledge and problem-solving skills to good use in the service of  expats moving to the Amsterdam Area. My ambition is to help people  not only with the practical procedures of the move, but also to be a kind of first friend in a new country.

Experience has taught me that the first months in a new country can be difficult, but also has shown me that it is much easier if my relocation agent is truly involved. This is my ultimate goal, to make the life of expats and their families definitely better by being really caring and committed to their needs. My relocation adventure started at the age of 18 when I moved from my birth country Curacao, a beautiful Caribbean island, to study in the US. I have lived and worked part time in Curacao, Aruba, St. Maarten, Amsterdam, the Cayman Islands and Dublin. I have now settled back again in the Netherlands.

Over the years, I have been the client of some excellent relocation companies and also some inferior ones. So I know exactly what kind of service a customer newly-arrived customer really needs. I know what a mother with children, either going to school or still at home, is looking for. I know how it feels coming to a new country facing a language and cultural barrier, even though the Dutch speak many languages well. So I'm confident of being able to ease and accelerate the transition of anyone who is going to make our interesting and multicultural country their own permanent or temporary home.
