Trade and InvestmentThe main responsibility of the Chamber is to provide a platform for the private sector of France and Nigeria to exchange ideas and strengthen their economic relationship.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Franco-Nigeria (CCIFN) was created in 1985 as a nonprofit organization limited by guarantee Enterprise and allied history records.
It is directed by :
- Chairman: Oye Hassan-Odukale MFR
- General Manager: Esther Gambe (Mrs.)
The CCIFN occupies an area of 117m2 inside the French Consulate in Lagos, 1st floor, road 1 Oyinkan Abayomi, Ikoyi, Lagos Nigeria.
The Chamber is a professional organization with over 200 members of French and Nigerian companies on the growing of capital in all sectors forming a dynamic business network and powerful.
The Chamber has a large network in France and other European countries. The CCIFN is a member of the CCIFI which has 111 bilateral chambers of commerce in 83 countries with a global network of over 32,000 companies.
The CCIFN, as the representative body of the business community in France and Nigeria, has maintained regular consultations with the government and government agency that affect commercial organizations in Nigeria. These organizations range from Ministries to Government Agency such as: National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON), Customs, etc.
MISSION
The development and promotion of the economic, commercial and financial relations between France and Nigeria.
VISION
To develop, support and provide strategies and services that will stimulate economic activities and the promotion of trade relations between the two countries.
1. EVENTS/ACTIVITIES
Different types of events are organized during the year, they include:
- Networking Cocktail
It is organized in order to bring the businessmen of the two countries (Nigeria and France), and other chamber of commerce together to discuss and consider business opportunities with other businessmen.
- Breakfast meetings
This is organized for members of the Chamber of Commerce with the aim of discussing key emerging issues and suggesting effective solutions. Participants have the opportunity to network and meet potential partners.
- Business Luncheon
The business lunch provides an opportunity to discuss economic trending topics, participants have the opportunity to meet with facilitators. The interactive session informs participants about the investment opportunities and development in Nigeria. There is also a mini exhibition.
2. DIGITAL PLATFORM
The digital messaging platform is a new initiative that allows the Chamber to partner with member organizations that are interested in scheduling an event to show case its brands and services whilst creating more visibility for the organisation.
We provide members and non-member recruitment services on request and at a fee.
B-B meetings are also provided on receipt of requests from member organizations, or when the need arises.
We are also starting the purpose training service to give competence to people in various sectors, provide capacity building, and entrepreneurship skills.
3. COMMUNICATION SERVICES
- Directory services
Contact details and business information of all member companies are provided, and members interested in knowing more about a member company can easily have access to their contact details.
- Social media
Platform where the Chamber gives visibility to member companies present at all its events by showcasing adverts, services and post event memories written by members of the CCIFN.
- Newsletter (Information Orbit)
A biannual publication that contain information about the Chamber, new opportunities in the Nigerian Economy, key government policies and key Economic indicators. It is very important for a company to have good information of the local market and follow the developments in terms of competition in the country.
- Myfcci.com: it is a new interactive platform where members of the Chamber can post information of its new products / services. Its a content management system platform where members manage their accounts, the information of their organizations, and advertisements. This platform will be launched in June.
4. PROTOCOL SERVICE
The protocol service offers a warm welcome to Organisations and Individuals who opt to do business in Nigeria. The CCIFN would accompany you throughout your stay by providing you with airport reception, hotel reservation, and taxi service during your stay in Nigeria.
5. CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
To fill the gap of the French language in an English speaking country, CCIFN organizes a French language empowerment program and language competition tagged CHAMPIONNAT DE LANGUE, the competition is done once every year.
