This is a beautiful Nepalese rendition of an Indian Tantric image of Shiva Shakti. Dakshina Kali, in her benevolent form, sitting astride her consort Shiva. This posture represents the Shiva/Shakti exchange of divine energies, the balance between the creative force of the 'Divine Feminine' and the eternal peace of the 'Divine Masculine'.
