Tantric Shiva Shakti painting
This is a beautiful Nepalese rendition of an Indian Tantric image of Shiva Shakti. Dakshina Kali, in her benevolent form, sitting astride her consort Shiva. This posture represents the Shiva/Shakti exchange of divine energies, the balance between the creative force of the 'Divine Feminine' and the eternal peace of the 'Divine Masculine'. This thankga painting was commission in 1982 and the world renowned Nepalese artist 'Basu Lama' completed it in that year. It is beautifully framed. Price: B15,500 firm, no reduction.
