INTRODUCTION
Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into all areas of a business, fundamentally changing how businesses operate and deliver value to customers. It involves how an organization uses technology, people and processes to fundamentally change business performance. Organizations, business and consultants are moving from traditional ways of operations to embracing technology to avoid being rendered redundant in the market space. Following digital transformation, there has been disruptions in all sectors including transport, communication and information, financial services, agriculture, wholesale and retail, sales and marketing, health, education and research. For instances tellers in the banks have been replaced by use of mobile phone to withdraw and deposit money in the banks, Uber has disrupted car hire services in logistics and transport, wholesale and retail has been replaced by home delivery of produce while traditional data collection using papers has been replaced by mobile data collection, use of Google forms just to mention but a few. To keep ablest with technology particularly digital transformation there is need for a change including in leadership, different thinking, the encouragement of innovation and new business models, incorporating digitization of assets and an increased use of technology to improve the experience of organization’s employees, customers, suppliers, partners and stakeholders.
