#Tembeakenya With #KenyaOutdoors introduces another new route & exciting hike to Eburru forest which is an extension of the Mau Forest located on the northwest side of Lake Naivasha. This natural gem covers 87sqkms of prime indigenous forest nestled within the folds of Mt Eburru.
The forest has a wide attraction of both flora and fauna with a very rich diversity of rare birds including the Turaco ross, Fly catcher, Bishop yellow, Robin chat, Eagle marshall among others.
The forest forms part of the catchment for L.Naivasha and L.Elementaita with several ground springs and is also a source of Ndabibi river and other small springs.
Eburru is also home to the mountain bongo, an endangered, beautiful and majestic antelope found only in Kenya with a population of only one hundred remaining.
