The Meeting Place Meets Again – Join us! Tuesday Jan 25 at 11 am!

In response to requests from the ex-pat/snowbird community, the Meeting Place is setting up a coffee-and-talk group to discuss subjects and concerns of interest. The first is on Tuesday January 25th at 11 am, with the topic (animated by Frances Boylston & Henry Milner) Abinader’s War on Corruption: will it defeat him or will he defeat it? The timing/ content of future meetings will depend upon the wishes and input of participants.

Don’t forget that the Meeting Place Library has more than 2000 books in its free-lending library. As we enter 2022 we invite readers to use our free-lending library and to tour the historic photo exhibition.

Established in 2008 The Meeting Place has over the years responded to the different needs of the community – from in-service programs for English teachers, to Spanish classes, to orientations for travelers and student groups, to diplomatic and art receptions to a rich discussion/film series and especially providing the largest English language library in the north coast. The pandemic and the diminishing ex-pat community has meant the programs have for the last two years been in hiatus though it has made the center available to several Dominican service groups (youth, services for visually disabled, etc).
