Edward Albee's cult classic invites us for a night cap with two couples in a small East Coast American university town. After a faculty party, Martha and George welcome newcomers Nick and Honey into their home, drawing the unwitting younger couple into their bitter and frustrated relationship.
Darkly comic right from the start, it only gets darker. David Benedict, writing for Variety, said this play "makes the complete works of Strindberg look like Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm."
The third play of our 50th anniversary year, Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? will be staged exactly 50 years after the ATC opened its first season with it in October 1969.
When? 8-12 October 2019
PLEASE NOTE: This play's start time will be 7:30 pm. Doors will open at 7:00 pm. Running time is estimated at three hours. There will be two brief intermissions.
