Did you know that every 30 seconds, someone becomes a victim of trafficking? Did you know that there are over 40.3 million people currently enslaved around the world and that there are approximately 31, 000 individuals being sex or labor trafficked right now in the Czech Republic? Did you know that half the cases in the Czech involve child trafficking or that the sexual demand for boys is on rise in Prague? Most people do not know what is happening around them. Until they know, nothing will change.
And this is why we need you to join our Walk for Freedom!
The Walk for Freedom is an annual global event coordinated by A21 that allows people from all over the world to bring awareness of the issue global and local human trafficking to their communities. Trafficking in Persons Awareness – Czechia (TIPA Czechia) will be hosting the Walk in Prague on October 15th. It will begin at 16:00 in front of the Statue of St. Wenceslas on Wenceslas Square and end around 18:30.
To participate, please register for the Walk at www.a21.org. Then, after dressing in all black, come PROMPTLY at 16:00 to the statute of St. Wenceslas (aka the Horse Statue), ready and willing to follow all the host instructions, carry a sign and walk. It is just that easy!!
For those still not sure, here is a video that shows you what the Walk is like:https://player.vimeo.com/video/736615713?h=34059d762e. You can also contact us at TIPACzechia@gmail.com for more info about the local walk.
