Henrik Elmér (Sweden) is a favourite act amongst promoters and comedy audiences all over the world. Deadpan, deliberate and downright funny, his twisted observations could only come from a man with a compulsion to throw his keys in the river every time he goes over a bridge. He released a feature film called 'The Meaning of Hugo'. Already in 2006, Henrik took his first English-language solo show, 'The Sweirdish Mind of Henrik Elmér', to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. It showcased his absurdism, his surreally logical humour and his gift for quality writing.
"Deadpan Swede with masterful timing ..." - Three Weeks;
"Uses uniquely twisted Nordic logic to produce an off-beat, yet very funny, set" - Chortle;
"Laid back and extremely funny ... cleverly constructed gags" - BBC 7;
"The crowd lapped up his humour like a thirsty dog" - BBC Lincolnshire;
"Speaks far better English than most of his British-born colleagues" - The Guardian
Brian Jordan (USA) was born in Virginia, but lived mostly in Georgia growing up, Brian began watching and loving stand-up comedy by going to the famous Punchline comedy club in Atlanta. Brian has seen the best of the best live but has developed his own style of storytelling comedy. They say that part truth is involved in most comedians’ stories, and Brian is no different. If you figure out which parts of his stories are true, they could shock you.
-->Note: Due to restrictions being lifted, the show is open for anyone to attend, but if you have symptoms of feeling ill, please stay home and you can use your purchased ticket for another show date is fine on Wed Apr 6, May 11 or June 8.
Then they are back on Wed, April 6 with more comics from around the world, including headliner Peter Flanagan (Ireland)! Keep an eye on Meetup for that event.
