The least one can say is that 2020 has not been the easiest of years! But as we step into a new year, we all bear the hope that it will be a better one. Here is what the Expat.com team wishes for you for 2021.
Devo Rughoonauth, Web Developper
I wish for a better world where people care enough, be it for the nature or humanity. For everyone to be treated with equality beyond race, colour, ethnicity, status, power, fame, religion...
If we could just care enough and have the courage to do what's right, the world would be a beautiful place to live in. Happy New Year 2021.
Christiane Ramiandramanjato, Senior Back-End developer and Junior project manager
Let's leave out iPhones, iPads, iWatches and other i-things aside for a minute. Let us leave our virtual world and spend the year 2021 on cultivating a relationship with the earth and its inhabitants. Let us feel nature, hear and listen to the world.
Julie Cramier, Chief Operations Officer
I wish everyone to be able to succeed in their own way, to fulfill what matters the most to them, to spend time with their loved ones, to take the time to do what they are passionate about, to live their life to the fullest, be grateful for what they have, and to be free to travel the world safely again.

The year 2020 taught us that life is short. A year full of adversity, resilience and challenges. Each challenge gave us the opportunity to persevere, learn and grow stronger, be more compassionate and more grateful as human beings. These are the lessons we need to carry forward while stepping into the new year. I wish for more love in the world and that everybody/businesses who were negatively affected by the pandemic will bounce back 100 times better.
Bryan Obeegadoo, Customer Success Manager
2020 comes to its end. It has been an unprecedented year, challenging for each one of us. Despite the ups-and-downs, I hope that 2020 has been a fruitful year for you and your loved ones.
Here's to a happy and healthy 2021 for you and yours!

2020 has undoubtedly been a tough one, on multiple levels, for a lot of people around the world and taught us resilience. May the upcoming year give us the opportunity to get back up on our feet and bring to all of us more joyous times.
Veedushi Bissessur, Editorial Assistant
Wherever you are, 2020 has probably been a tough year for you. It has been for all of us. May 2021 bring better news, the chance to reunite after a year of lockdown and being stuck in one country, the strength to rise again for those having been through particularly tough times and hope for everyone.
Jannick Rose, Office Manager.
2020 has shown that we need to stop taking things for granted. But let us forget the past and live in the present. Let us try to lean into the beauty of life with our closed ones, let's us spend time in nature and find peace despite the little hurdles.
Anne-Lise Mestry, Editorial Manager
2020 might not have been the easiest year, but by stripping us of the things we took for granted, it showed us what we really, truly care about. And by compelling us to stay home, it gave us the time and the space we needed to travel to the deepest, darkest corners of our own existence.
My wish for 2021 is that, armed with this new-found wisdom and resilience, we remember what we missed the most when we were locked away. Hiking boots drenched in mud, the warmth of a hug worth every single mile you have traveled to feel it, laughing till it hurts with friends… But above all, may we continue to listen to ourselves, may we make time for ourselves and make space for our feelings and emotions. This, I believe, will help us be kinder to all forms of life, and most importantly, to ourselves. Happy New Year!
Julien Faliu, CEO and founder of Expat.com
I wish you all a happy 2021, surrounded by those who are dear to you. A year full of life, joy, laughter. But above all, a year to find happiness because at the end of the day, it is the one thing we all aspire to be: happy. Take care of yourselves!
