Hello Kyle de klerk,

Welcome to Expat.com 1f601.svg

I would say that the electricity bill can vary based on several factors, such as the number of televisions, air conditioners, and other appliances being used. It's important to consider these factors as they can have an impact on the overall consumption and subsequently the bill amount.

Then, let's hope someone can provide you with more details on the general cost of the electricity. 1f609.svg

Cheryl is right.

For my part, I pay around RS 800 monthly for two persons in a three bedrooms house. No air cons or heaters. Kitchen's functioning on gas and electricity. Work at home, long hours on computers.

Hope that will help you.

I just paid mine this morning - it was 1000 rupees. I asked the same question when I got here. My family pay anywhere between 700 r & 2000 r. 700 r will probably get you the basics. 2000 will get you air con, tv licence fee, computer, etc.
