Fastest express delivery from US

DHL.  Yes, within 3-5 days.

Hi all,
I need to send a drivers license from Long Island, New York to myself here in HCMC. Can anyone recommend the fastest, easiest service available (UPS, DHL, FedEx, etc?) to get this done? Can I receive within 1 week of sending from New York?

I used FedEx to receive a letter package from USA. It took 3 days but the time will depend on where you are located in Vietnam. I had it sent to the FedEx office in HCMC and held for me. Delivery can add days to the estimated delivery. The time quoted by the carriers is for the package to arrive in Vietnam not for delivery.

If you do opt for local delivery, be absolutely sure to include a phone number for the recipient.   I sent a package to Ben Tre once, without a phone number but with detailed street instructions, and FEDEX did not even attempt to deliver it.  In fact their own tracking indicated that it never even left HCMC

Fedex International Priority is generally 4-5 days.  They have International Priority First but it is expensive and may only save one day.  I never use it.  I ship samples at least a couple of times a month both directions.  A letter should not get hung up in customs.  It seems that my shipment will get hung up for a few days about half of the time.

I'm told, and have some experience, too, that DHL service beats FedEx on stuff shipped from North America to Vietnam. Yes, and phone number at delivery address is beyond wise, it's essential.
