Tony intro

AntonioBenedict

Hi to one and all.

I am Tony, and I have lived in Bulgaria for 5 years.ย  After a career in cultural diplomacy, living and travelling extensively abroad, I retired early and then moved to a tiny, remote village of 50 people within the Burgas region.

I am approaching the end of renovating my rather arty-funky homestead property, and I am due to open a guesthouse retreat in the spring.ย  I am a trained life and business coach.

I wouldnโ€™t describe myself as an animal-person, though I have somehow ended up with a dog, cat, goats, chickens and ducks! It keeps me out of mischief! ๐Ÿคฃ

I am the sole Brit in the village and my Bulgarian is pretty basic, akin to the equivalent of pigeon-English.ย  I manage to get by with a modicum of confusion and hilarity.

During my time here, I have used lots of volunteers to help in my garden, and the village.ย  Also, I have reclaimed what was a park 30 yearsโ€™ ago, and I shall be using it for retreat and music events.ย  I enjoy bringing people together.

In my spare time, I enjoy trekking, wild camping etc and attending music festivals.

I shall be using any profits from my guesthouse business to support village improvements.

My reason for joining this group is to connect with like-minded folk - and to share in a bit adventure and joy! ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ™
