MUKW3 Appointment

Frederick Dewitt

Greetings one and all, just wondering if anyone has had any issues with Paphos Immigration regarding appointments for an interview for changing from MEU3 to MUKW3. Sent an email 29th Jan but no response. Not even an acknowledgement.

Hello Fred.

I have an imminent appointment which is the result of my email request approx 3 months ago.

I sent my request together with full details and received a response within a week.

The request was made to :-

pafosetiseis@police.gov.cy

As I have experienced the immigration department and never a pleasant experience I did a dry run days ago.

Oh! dear no improvement packed out and the reception had the blinds closed. Unfortunately my appointment is midday and I shall be unable to arrive early due to an earlier meeting.

I am thinking the fact of my confirmed appointment should mean I get my digital ID dealt with. I will be on time but unfortunately can't arrive earlier. Any thoughts???

When you get there grab one of the staff and tell them that you are there for a simple exchange...and check that your name is on their list ..

This happened to us last year ..place was rammed reception window closed.... Take a copy of the appointment email.... As our names weren't on the list, we had to prove the appointment... It was then we told the staff that we were there for a simple exchange in and out in under 15 mins...

Hi Toon, thanks for your comment regarding immigration interview email.

The email address I used was mageorgiou@crmd.moi.gov.cy

Is this the best one to use or is there another?

Regards Fred

@Drambuie

Thanks Drambuie. I will try the email you suggest.

There is a specific email for each district

The one above is the Paphos district.

Just for info.:-

On Monday prior to my 12:00 appointment I received a phone call suggesting I could go earlier.

This I accepted and would have sailed through but unfortunately the Biometric System was inoperable. I returned this morning and completed all.

Only issue now is I have been told to wait for a letter advising my Biometric card is ready for collection. They suggested this might be 2-3 months. I'm in no rush though.

You can text to 1199  to get status of application .. send  to 1199 STATUS (SPACE) THEN RECEIPT NUMBER  I THINK

Ours took 13 weeks .. we were supposed to get a letter but didn't get that until 4 weeks after we collected the cards....

Sometimes it pays to just call in if in the area with your receipt and see if the cards are there.. they often are ...when we called on spec twice there was 10 to 15 boxes of cards on the reception desk with average 100 cards per box all awaIting collection

Use the application number xxxxxx/2025 not receipt number, just tried and it works fine

Thanks for the replies. I have found the expat info extremely helpful even if on occasion it's merely managing expectations.

The text number will definitely be utilised.
