2 years ago I first heard of this company, and, didn't think it would last long-term.

09/13/23 @Gasparzinho 777.  I never understood their business model, and I try never to put money into something I don't understand, so I'm lucky to be on the outside, too.

On August 30 our breakfast news podcast, Folha's "Café da Manhã", provided some insight into the case.  123milhas was trying to use arbitrage to meet an unmet need in the Brazilian commercial aviation market, the lack of low-cost domestic flights.  Folha's take is that their failure highlights the need for regulatory reform to bring more competition into the marketplace:

123 Milhas is a trademark owned by Grupo Folha ( a holding for Folha de Sao Paulo, Pague Seguro,  now sold123 Real Estate , and the UOL Hosting Division ).

Newsprint is a money loser. Most of the holding's net income derives from credit/debit card processing terminals

Old money going broke.  Liberal  left leaning news media daily rag. Nothing wrong with their standing, only do not invest a dime into their companies or products.

While the NY Tiimes rakes billions on digital subscription dues , these mooks cannot even break loose, even while  owning a web hosting company. They go back to flag ad placement.  Very ineficcient and passe.
