Hello Everyone,
Cameroon is a beautiful country, full of a vivid spectrum of a culture diversity to local music, from artistic relevance to political/economic development, and everything down the list (with the small details in between). Your first visit to any country would of course be awkwardly different: that different breeze of air, the atmosphere of different surroundings, & the first sounds of foreign languages (than your own). From here start an experience of a person like me, who pretty much already represent almost the entire planet (exceptional of a continent).
Born in the Northern region of Cameroon, Garoua, it was a place where it all started. When you're born to International parents, at times it's very hard to finally find your roots, since you're pulled from all directions - that too when you get confused on what to tell people from where you are. Moving to America (Sacramento, CA to be more precise), was another alternative to adding the flavor to the 'Internationalism' of my life's already mixed diversity. Then came back to Yaounde since I could get the pinch of missing the 'Motherland' - so that pulling force just had to drag me back home.
Now living in Yaounde, life couldn't get any better than rooting back into the lifestyle here, and familiarizing myself with some old habitual routines. On the other hands, since I already considered California as my primary home, I had to do some research in finding some country-mates and creating a community of our own - not ignoring the African sense of humor. Yaounde is filled with a lot of socio-cultural events & exchanges, if you just look at the right places; as well as find the right people to guide you (not those with the sake of having 'benefits' at the back of their heads - like it's permanently glued there). Anyway, my experience has another long sniper shot to be taken to have it explained out - since it could end up turning out to be a blog, if I mention more.;
Moral of Story : Visit Cameroon if you're a person who likes the African sense of lifestyle, or might have loved ones here but never got the chance to visit. Just give me a knock at my door, I'll vividly and openly assist you with any requests or demands, regarding life in Cameroon. [Please just take this as an advice. I'm not on an Advertisement expedition nor discovery voyage, just here to help understand a different environment and its meaning). If you didn't know anything about Cameroon and found this useful, you're most welcome.
