What are international schools in Belgium offering?

International schools in Belgium welcome children from kindergarten to secondary school. Some are affiliated with the Cambridge (England) international examination network, while others prepare for the International Baccalaureate (IB). Others use the Montessori pedagogy.

Most of these schools use English as the main language in class. However, German or French is used for a small number of them. Most curricula are bilingual.

Diplomas in International Schools

Most British international schools prepare to take the GCSEs, GCEs, A-Levels, or even the American High School Diploma.

American schools prepare students to take the PSAT, SAT, and the American High School Diploma. There are Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors classes available.

As for German, Japanese, or Scandinavian schools, they're using the curriculum of the country they represent.

Facilities

International schools offer comprehensive curricula and activities for children. Each school has infrastructure for sports and other extracurricular activities.

Tuition fees

Tuition fees in Belgium vary from one school to another. As an indication, most British school fees are between €6,000 and €35,000 a year. This amount varies according to the student level, transportation, extracurricular activities, and fees for daycares and cafeterias.

You can negotiate with employers to pay for school fees. Don't forget to look for information on this possibility before enrolling your children in international schools.
