Dublin is ideally located as you can partake in many of the tremendous city-based activities or go a short distance outside of the city and be in the middle of beautiful nature. Nature activities in Dublin
There are many excellent nature sports in and around Dublin. In the city centre itself, you have parks such as Phoenix Park, St Stephen's Green Park and Merrion Square Park for you to get a breather from hectic city life.
You are also on the coast, where there are many great walks, such as at the Poolbeg Pier and right along the coast out by Dun Laoghaire, Greystones and Bray. There are many mountains and hills around in the outer limits of Dublin where you can hike and walk around, taking in the amazing scenery.

City activities in Dublin
If you want to stay in the city and partake in some activities, you still have a lot of options. You can visit the Guinness Storehouse, which is the headquarter of the world-famous beverage. Here you can learn all about how the drink is made, about the history of the brand, as well as sample a variety of different beers. You also have plenty of live music around the city in the likes of Whelan's on Camden Street.
There are always great comedy gigs taking place, with the Laughter Lounge being a favourite. This is where many of the top Irish and international comics come to perform. Phoenix Park is only a stone's throw from the city centre. You can also visit the likes of Dublin Zoo and the house of the President of Ireland. It is a place where you can unwind in the green grass and watch the wild deer roam around the park.
