Opening bank account is not very hard thing in Lithuania. As in other countries you simply need to get to closest bank. You must have ID or passport. You don‘t need to have stable living place because you can select that all information about your bank account will be delivered to your email. So you fill some papers and you have your Lithuanian bank account. It is totally FREE. You also get „internet banking“ access so you can get into your bank account everywhere, just you must to have the Internet connection (some banks Applications for iPhones and phones with Android OS, so you can access and control your bank account on your mobile phone).
The credit or debit card is usually done in one week. You can take the card at the same bank where you placed an order. Usually card costs around 20 LTL.
Note: if you want to get credit card you must have stable incomes as well as stable living place (living place must be declared in local government).
Opening bank account takes up to 30 minutes so it isn't very much time requiring task.
All operations can be done by accessing to your bank account on your computer or simply going to the bank. In most banks works qualified workers and they can speak fluently in russian, english, lithuanian, in some banks- german, polish, french languages so you will not feel any discomfort making your operations.
