If you're looking to visit Kuwait rather than move there, you will likely need a short-term visa. Visa processes can sometimes be a hassle, so it is crucial to understand what type of visa you will need, what the requirements are, and what the application process is.
Types of short-term visas in Kuwait
The first thing you will need to figure out is what type of visa you need for your trip to Kuwait. There are currently three types of short-term visas available for different purposes of travel.
Tourist visa
Tourist visas are ideal for travelers who plan to visit Kuwait for leisurely purposes or to explore its cultural and historical attractions. Typically, a tourist visa will have a validity of 3 months and only allow for a single entry.
Business visa
Business visas are intended for anyone traveling to Kuwait for business-related purposes such as meetings, conferences, or negotiations. They are valid for three months from the date of issue and allow for a stay of 30 consecutive days. Business visas are also single-entry.
Visit visa
The visit visa is ideal for those traveling to Kuwait to visit family or friends residing in the country. Visit visas are valid for just one month and allow for single entry. Those who are not eligible for e-visas or visas on arrival must obtain sponsorship from a Kuwaiti resident or company in order to get the visa.
