The province of Mendoza, located in the west of Argentina, is a real job pool. If you intend to relocate there, finding a job will not be a major problem. In fact, many sectors contribute to the region's economic development. Although its economy is mainly based on rather traditional sectors, many job opportunities exist for expatriates.

You can start by sending your application letter to national and international companies operating there. Most of them are located in Mendoza, the capital city of the province of Mendoza, as well as in San Rafael, San Martin, and Godoy Cruz.

Economy

Mendoza is the most active and most dynamic city in the province. Mendoza also has a high concentration of tourists and expatriates from around the world. In addition, it contributes more than 4% to Argentina's Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Note that Mendoza's main economic pillars are agriculture, industry, mining and tourism.

The region's main economic activity is viniculture. In fact, a large portion of its land in this province is under viniculture. The city also exports olives, as well as tomatoes, potatoes, onions, fruits such as walnuts, plums, cherries and apricots. Uranium, iron, manganese, oil, talc, gravel, sand and limestone extraction, among others, are also a very important economic activity.

Over the years, tourism has known an accelerated growth in the region. Mendoza continues to attract expatriates not only due to its viniculture but also for its numerous historical sites, scenic landscapes as well as its tourism infrastructures. Moreover, the financial and services sectors play an important role in the economy of the province.

Job search

It is better to be on spot to find a job in Mendoza. Word-of-mouth could be of great help. Otherwise, you could check classified ads in local newspapers, job websites or even a recruitment agency.

Note that expatriates are likely to find a job in the industry, administration, tourism and teaching fields.
