Fruit picker/Harvester
Fruit Picker/Harvester:
- Pick fresh fruits from trees, bushes, or vines
- Select fruits according to ripeness, color, and quality
- Use specialized tools like clippers, ladders, or baskets
- Work in orchards, farms, or plantations
- Follow safety guidelines and regulations
- Meet productivity and quality standards
- May work in teams or individually
Fruit Handler:
- Receive, inspect, and sort fruits from harvesters or suppliers
- Clean, wash, and dry fruits as needed
- Pack fruits into containers, crates, or boxes
- Label and prepare fruits for shipping or storage
- Monitor fruit quality and report any issues
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Follow food safety and handling regulations
- May operate machinery like conveyor belts or forklifts
Planter:
- Prepare soil for planting by tilling, fertilizing, and irrigating
- Plant seeds, seedlings, or cuttings according to crop plans
- Space plants correctly for optimal growth
- Water and maintain soil moisture levels
- Mulch or apply other soil coverings as needed
- Monitor plant health and report issues
- Follow crop rotation and planting schedules
- Operate machinery like tractors, planters, or irrigation systems
- Work in greenhouses, nurseries, or field
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors
- Knowledge of practices, soil science and crop management
- Experience with farm equipment
- Harvesting and post harvesting handling technique ls
- Ability to work alone and in group
- Ability to adapt to changing weather and seasonal conditions
- Knowledge of organic farming
- Pest management and control
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science
