Career Moves is recruiting a bookkeeping and internal administrator for our client which is a global sourcing and imports company that specialises in engineering spares for the manufactory industry of Mauritius. It was born out of a necessity to provide local manufactures with a reliable partner to get "non stock" spare from nearly anywhere in the world to Mauritius cost effectively and in a matter of days.

The company draws on its highly efficient supply chain network and its managements teams 10 years experience in the industry to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and the fastest turnaround time in supplying spares that are not available locally in Mauritius.

The company is young and dynamic and is looking for new talent who is ready to grow with the organisation.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Bookkeeper and Internal Administrator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing administrative tasks, managing the shipping process, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Record Keeping:

• Maintain complete and accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.

• Reconcile bank statements and ensure consistency between records and bank transactions.

• Process and record financial transactions, including invoices, expenses, and payments.

Administrative Support:

• Manage office supplies, inventory, and procurement activities.

• Organize and maintain physical and digital files.

• Assist in scheduling meetings and appointments.

• Handle incoming and outgoing mail, email, and phone communications.

Data Entry and Analysis:

• Enter financial and operational data into the company's database or accounting software.

• Create shipments on DHL's portal.

• Create commercial invoices.

Compliance and Documentation:

• Ensure compliance with relevant financial and administrative regulations.

• Assist in the preparation of tax-related documents.

• Create shipping document packs.

Communication and Collaboration:

• With vendors on quotes, purchase order and shipping packs

• With clients on quotes and shipping status

• With company accountant on all financial matter

Work Environment:

• This role is primarily office-based with remote working option.

• The position will also require occasion driving to collect and deposit cheques, etc.

Remuneration :

• A good remuneration

Skills

• Proven experience in bookkeeping and administrative roles advantageous.

• Proficiency in accounting software (Zoho books or similar) and Microsoft Office suite.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

• Excellent communication (In English) and interpersonal skills.

• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.

• International exposure is a plus point

Diplomas

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
