Truck driver
- Drive long distances to deliver goods safely and on time.
- Operate heavy-duty trucks
- Inspect vehicles before and after trips for roadworthiness.
- Load/unload cargo and ensure proper securing.
- Verify load details and handle delivery paperwork.
- Plan routes using GPS/maps, considering traffic and weather.
- Communicate with dispatchers on route updates or issues.
- Maintain logs for driving hours, fuel use, and delivery notes.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues.
- Follow regulations for load weight, driving hours, and safety.
- Experience with long-haul trucking.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Good physical stamina and strength.
- Ability to work independently and manage time well.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License
