Project Manager (Construction)
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects outside Lagos. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing large-scale projects, ensuring timely execution, quality control, and adherence to budget and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
✅ Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects.
✅ Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and local laws.
✅ Manage contractors, site engineers, and project teams to ensure efficient workflow.
✅ Monitor budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain cost efficiency.
✅ Conduct site inspections and risk assessments to identify and resolve potential challenges.
✅ Collaborate with stakeholders, government agencies, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
✅ Implement quality control measures to deliver high-standard construction projects.
Requirements:
✔️ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
✔️ Minimum 10 years of experience in construction project management.
✔️ Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
✔️ Proven ability to manage large teams, budgets, and timelines.
✔️ Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
✔️ Willingness to work outside Lagos.

Technical & Industry-Specific Skills
Project Planning & Execution: Expertise in construction scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Structural & Civil Engineering Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and technical drawings.
Risk Assessment & Compliance: Familiarity with local building regulations, environmental laws, and safety codes.
Contract Management: Ability to draft, negotiate, and oversee contracts with vendors and contractors.
Cost Control & Budgeting: Managing financial planning, cost estimation, and expense tracking.
Proficiency in Construction Software:
Primavera P6, Microsoft Project (for scheduling)
AutoCAD, Revit (for structural design & blueprint interpretation)
BIM (Building Information Modeling) software (preferred)
Educational Qualifications & Certifications
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (mandatory).
✔ Master’s Degree (preferred but not required) in Construction Project Management.
Professional Certifications (preferred):
PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI
PRINCE2 (Project Management Certification)
Certified Construction Manager (CCM) – CMAA
Chartered Engineer (CEng) – Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE)
NEBOSH or OSHA Safety Certification (for construction safety compliance)
