I am applying for the senior quantity surveying position in your organisation. As detailed in my CV attached, please note that I have more than 18 years post qualification experience in construction development and real estate management, supported by very strong qualifications suitable for this position. These qualifications include an MBA in Construction and Real Estate (UK), BSc (Hons) Construction Management (UK), Diploma in Surveying (UK) and National Diploma in Quantity Surveying (Zimbabwe). I am a Chartered Construction Project Manager, registered with the Chartered Institute of Building (UK) (MCIOB) and also do hold further leadership qualification such as Executive Development Program (WITS Business School - SA) and Post Graduate Diploma in Management and Strategic Leadership with Chartered Management Institute -UK).
Over the last 18 years, I have largely worked as a Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager and General Manager. I have successfully worked on projects that were administered under various forms of contract such as FIDIC, NJPC, JCT, NEC, ZGCC4 etc. This experience has given me firsthand experience to appreciate and manage challenges associated with contractual aspects of construction projects.
I therefore believe that my experience combined with my qualifications gives me a unique perspective that would be valuable in meeting the responsibilities for this job.
