As an IT Project Manager in Zimbabwe, you will be at the forefront of planning, executing, and monitoring complex IT projects related to border management. This pivotal role demands a strategic blend of technical prowess and a nuanced understanding of airport security and immigration protocols. You will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success, adhering to stringent deadlines and quality standards.

Missions & Responsibilities:

Manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure

Define project objectives, deliverables, timelines, considering local economic realities and infrastructure

Develop and implement a detailed project plan, adapting to potential challenges.

Manage project resources, including team, optimizing locally available resources

Track project progress and identify potential risks, considering Zimbabwe-specific factors

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Prepare clear and concise project reports and presentations

Proactively and diplomatically manage project scope changes and issues.

Ensure successful project delivery in accordance with objectives and requirements, adapting to on-the-ground realities

Knowledge & Skills required:

3-5 years of experience as an IT Project Manager or in a similar role.

Solid project management knowledge, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different cultures and build rapport with local stakeholders

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve potential issues in an ever-changing environment

Strong IT skills, including knowledge of operating systems, networking, and databases, with an understanding of available technologies in Africa.

Native English, with working knowledge of Swahili would be an asset

Experience into airport and migration related security or civil aviation security is an asset

Education required:

Master's degree in computer science
