Product Manager, Platform & Technology
In a nutshell, lead product delivery from ideation and scoping until delivery and adoption
Product Strategy
• Own and set the product vision, informed by data, user research and competition
• Lay out a 3-year strategy to achieve the vision and align key stakeholders to that vision
• Own and define objectives at Team-level and Product-level
• Partner with sales and strategy to define go-to-market plan
• Incorporate business needs, stakeholder requirements and feedback
• Ensure the technical feature development and strategy are scoped to satisfy the needs of the business long term
• Ensure technical and industry watch
• Develop business cases
• Manage Product lifecycle, investment strategy and budget, from product ideation until sunsetting
• Defines metrics, analyses data, present findings to make product decisions
Product Delivery
• Prioritize a 1 year rolling roadmap based on known objectives and the company's technical direction
• Lead quarterly planning and sets objectives, key results, features' definition of done
• Identify risks and dependencies, and plan for mitigations
• Work with stakeholders to execute tactical deliveries
Stakeholder Management
• Identify impacted teams and key stakeholders
• Gather stakeholders' key requirements, including customer/business needs and problems and transform them into actionable requirements
• Represent the work of the team in a convincing and engaging way
• Manage stakeholder expectations with timely, concise, and clear progress updates, adapted to team member needs and via different mediums (verbal, written, presentation, Kanban boards, excel).
• Manage expectations up to director level and occasionally to CPO and CTO
Tech Fluency
• Partner with Engineering Managers
• Understand which technical solutions should be used to deliver the product and the long-term implications of these solutions in terms of maintenance
• Advocate for the customer and business in engineering tradeoff decisions
• Actively participates in guiding the technical decisions during the product development process
• Understands company/department architecture and overall technical direction
• Build bridges between technical and non-technical stakeholders
