Car insurance by Johna5701

I will only be in Ireland for one year but want to buy a car and need insurance. I have a US license. The US does not have a "no claims bonus" system but I have no citations or accidents charged against me. I did have a claim when a deer ...

FrenchFrog

As far as I know, to be insured, you'll have to get a local driving licence - don't think you can be insured on a US licence. I know someone who has just arrived from the US and has years of driving experience behind him and he had to pass ... Read More

Voice Over Internet Protocol VOIP by socal434

I have seen on the internet that VIOP services such as Skype and Viber are illegal in Kuwait. How does one communicate with their family members that are not residing in Kuwait then? Here in Hungary that is all I use when I call back to California ...

FrenchFrog

If you access Skype as an app (on iPad or any Windows 8 computer), no issue. That's for the same reason it works on smartphones. However, if you have it downloaded as a program on your computer, it will usually get blocked by your internet provider. Read More

Importing a pet seems to have gotten more complicated by Ribosom

Tired all the time since in Kuwait by FrenchFrog

I know this is a bit random but I'm wondering if it's just me or does anyone else feel really tired since they've arrived in Kuwait? I am usually someone who's always on the go and I have been feeling pretty wrecked since I arrived here 4 months ...

FrenchFrog

Thanks, Ribosom. I'm doing a fair bit of exercise too, so should not feel so sluggish but I'm as dead as a dodo in the afternoons, which was when I usually had the most energy... I do hope this change soon, it's starting to make me feel miserable. ... Read More

Just to be clear, I am doing all that you describe, I am not usually the type to sit down and do nothing, I'm usually always out and about, always trying to have something to do, but these days, I just don't seem to have the energy for it all... Read More

As far as I know, it's not possible. You have to have an eye lens check very 2 years, and the shops can't even continue dispensing your usual lenses if you haven't had the exam, I believe it's the law. Read More
