I moved here from Canada a couple of years ago. I have lived in many countries both in Europe and Africa. I find Namibia very refreshing. It is like having the best of both worlds; it is cosmopolitan without the rat-race feeling. The people here are very friendly; systems work and psople actually follow traffic rules: really nice after being on roads in Nairobi and Kampala. Windhoek is just a nice, clean and beautiful city set among those hills. beautiful. Getting schools for kids from Canada was a big, I mean huge challenge. Look for schools before you drag your kids here. Remember also that here the schools are on a quarter system and not a semester one. Initially I came for a short contract. That ended and just when I was ready to leave I got another great contract so I will be here for a while. I have made some good friends from this blog site and I am very thankful for it.
