English Teacher (EFL) at the University of Jinan, Shandong Province, China. Qualified with HBA, GCTESOL, GDIS and MTESOL, I also offer online private English teaching and manuscript proofing / editing (via Skype, WeChat, email, social media, Dropbox). Wherever possible, I use multi-media and trans-media resources in online and classroom EFL / ESL teaching to facilitate autonomous student digital literacy. Areas of expertise: * CALL (Computer Assisted Language Learning) & Digital Literacy * Digital Textbook Design (multi-media PDF) * Course and Curriculum Design Methodology * Assessment in EFL/ESL Education * IELTS Preparation & Training / Resourcing * Oral English Training & Instruction * English for Special Purposes inc. Business, Travel * English Manuscript Proofreading and Editing * Digital Publishing and eDocument Design My professional interest is in computer-assisted language learning (CALL) and its place in the emerging digital publishing nexus of e-Book multimedia self-publishing, peer review (user pays vs. author pays), trans-media ethnography, Web 2.0 and new technologies in App, PC and Apple iOS. As an ethnographer, I gravitate towards user-generated content for trans-media dissemination, especially as it pertains to (auto-)ethnographic film-making, focusing on (though not exclusively) native English speaking EFL teacher experience in China. As an ethnographic film-maker I use digital media technology - video camera, smartphone, iPhone, GoPro, special purpose cameras, found footage - and where possible prefer natural light, authentic sound, actual locations. My own ethnographic digital video features - Confidential Report: an Australian Transgression and TLK Punk - are housed in Australia's National Film and Sound Archive (NFSA) in Canberra, where I was a former SAR Research Fellow.
