I am a fun-loving person from Florida, in the states. I am an avid traveler, and have just finished my first overseas contract, teaching geography here in KL. My next destination is Doha, Qatar, in September... I'm always looking for new friends - you can never have enough of those! Cheers!

Expat experience
My first overseas job, it was a period of adjustment and growth. Wonderful, scary, and exciting!
The locals were some of the nicest, friendliest people I've ever met. The natural surroundings were first-class: jungles, beaches, coral reefs, etc. Borneo is the most fantastic place on earth, in my humble opinion. The food and the mix of cultures were also a lot of fun. You never run out of things to do or see!
It could stand to be a bit more developed in some respects (the roads, the smells, were sometimes too much). The traffic and crazy drivers - especially motorcyclists - were a bit much to handle. And working for a Malaysian employer left a lot to be desired, in my experience and opinion (MUCH different perceptions of professionalism than in the West).
