I am newly-retired from an eclectic 12-career business life (recently as an entrepreneur, mostly as a business consultant). I have a 50+-year history as a volunteer, often involved in the setting up and leading of organizations. I am the father of a 20-year-old daughter in her 3rd year at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. I was born and educated in England, emigrating to Canada in 1966 after graduating as an engineer at Cambridge, and then attending UBC in its first batch of masters of computer science students. Single (again) for the past 7 years, I am interested in spirituality, alternative medicine, noetic sciences, technology, investing, economics, and politics. I have recently started playing croquet and re-started playing bridge.
