I live in Richmond, Virginia in the United States and I was born and raised in Miami Beach. I hope to move overseas well ahead of retirement age and experience the world's simplest treasures as a citizen of the diverse world in which we live. I love the Dominican Republic, particularly Las Terrenas. I have watched people of lower, moderate and even more than moderate means struggle yet work as hard as anyone else only to find that they are working towards a retirement with less than they have now, yet increased costs of healthcare and other services eerily await them as their future. Similarly, I have experienced a toll on my own health, happiness and quality of life, educating myself with costly advanced professional degrees and working in a stress-ridden We have created a website called inside Expat with the goal of providing people of modest means who seek a new course and who want a change and/or have been priced out of their retirement and/or living/working lifestyles in their home countries, with the tools, encouragement and confidence to find and create the extraordinary quality of life seemingly beyond reach. As a free website, we rely on our users to be contributors for articles, reviews, recommendations and helpful advice. We encourage expats and locals to help others through this platform. Sharing your experience can make a difference in the life choices of others. Please feel free to contact me with any advice, previously unpublished articles you author on every aspect of life where you live, eat, shop, seek healthcare, real estate, tax, immigration requirements... etc. Original photos and reviews of places, neighborhoods and establishments are needed and welcome. We have a revised launch date of September 2015 and look forward to working with and assisting all... And we have launched!
