Vincent Toi is a Mauritian filmmaker and Art Director based in Montreal, Canada. He has a degree in Film Production from Montreal's Concordia University and a degree in Design from Toronto York University and Sheridan College. He currently works as an Art Director for the Phi Centre and the DHC ART museum. Two established multidisciplinary cultural institutions in Montreal where he collaborates with various artists in film, music, fashion and the new media industry, creating artwork for an array of musicians and artists. Vincent's first feature film, Ive Seen the Unicorn (2014) is the first Mauritian-Canadian co-production. The film played at internationally renown festivals such as, HotDocs International film festival and the Chicago International film festival. He directed three short films, which were selected in various festivals worldwide, including: the Reggio International Film Festival, Regard sur le Saguenay and Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois. His latest short film Paper Wings (2011) earned him best short film at Amerasia in 2012. His short films were also distributed and broadcasted by Radio Canada International and TFO.
