Introduction

I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I have been blessed with a beautiful daughter who is now 10. I have raised her on my own and Im looking for a new place to call home, a place where its a safe and has a friendly environment to raise my daughter and also make a decent living. I have work experience as well as an Diploma in Performing Arts and Media. I believe life is an adventure and I never give up! My daughter and I are known as photocopies, because she truly is a mini me. I look forward to starting a new adventure with her and giving her a better quality of life.

I was born and raise here, besides my one year in Bristol, England where i went to study for a year; I've lived here my whole life. I've always felt out of place despite being a Malaysian and raised here. I've worked as a waitress, brand ambassador for several well known brands (B.A.T, Heineken) dance instructor, back up dancer for Bollywood/Kollywood movies, I'm now in the real estate industry and I still teach dance here and there. My passion in life is music and dance.

The reason why I am determined to leave is because of the mentality of the majority of our society. Being a single mother here, I've been a victim to a lot of negativity. There are no benefits for non Muslims and we are made to feel like third class citizens. Our government is a joke and has never done anything for us. I don't want my daughter growing up in a country where she is made to feel that she doesn't belong, basic manners like thank you or holding doors open is almost obsolete. Crime is at an all time high and I don't even allow my daughter to go down to the store alone! I live in a gated and guarded condominium but still dont feel safe. All this affects me and I feel my daughter is deprived from a lot of learning curves. How do I teach her to gain her independence and build her confidence if I have to shelter her from almost everything. The main thing is, its not safe. If its this bad now, imagine when she is a teen?
