I am an American gringo from central California. I now live in a remote area of western Honduras. The village, San Manuel Colohete, has about 2,500 inhabitants. The elevation is 5,200 feet. It is never too hot nor too cold. I have been married to a Honduran for 12+ years.. We have lived here in San Manuel for 10+ years. We have a 2 1/2 year old son. My wife and I both like animals. We have 1 Rottweiler, 1 mongrel dog, 1 squirrel, 1 parrot, 1 dove, 2 quail, 3 parakeets, 2 rabbits (with 6 babies), and 5 chickens. I am the only American in this area. If you have questions, I will do my best to answer them--although it might take a day or two.
