Oregon2Eire

Back in 1992, I left my home of Medford, Oregon to be an au pair in Germany. After my assignment ended, I traveled to Dublin, Ireland to work as an au pair for 6 months, with the idea to return to the states after that. It certainly didn't work out that way! My husband, who is from Kerry, and I got married in 1995 and moved to Co.Kerry. 20 years later, I'm the proud mom of 2 boys, 2 cats, 2 dogs, 3 horses, a few cattle and a bunch of sheep. It's not always easy being so far from home, and sometimes I feel "mid ocean", but I make the best of it and appreciate all the positives of living in rural Ireland.
