Currently my wife and I live in Trinidad, California which is located in Humboldt County (aka: behind the Redwood Curtain). We are semi-retired (I am a former teacher of film and television production. She is a real estate appraiser). We are considering living 6 months at a time abroad. We are in the collecting information stage. It would seem that we have enough $ in retirement and social security. We might rent our house out while we are away. Our fantasy is to live in a not too expensive place in France (Central or South of France away from the effects of winter) or Italy.
