My name is Mihai Olenici, I am Romanian and I work as Ecotourism guide in Romania. Following a strong desire for personal and professional development I am planning to move abroad during the last decade of April 2015 and I wish to find a job in the hospitality or domestic sector [hotel, hostel, bar, kitchen, housekeeping]. My academic background is in the field of engineering but being fond of outdoors and tourism I decided to work in the field of ecotourism and become a tourism guide. Thus, 10 years ago weve established, together with two friends, Eco Transylvania Ltd. [see www.apuseniexperience.ro] - a Romanian tour operator active in the field of ecotourism. My position in the company was product manager and tour leader. As a product manager Ive got specialised in designing and organising [mainly] tailor made ecotourism programmes four tourists from all over the world. It was one of my duties to permanently communicate with our clients, considering their specific wishes and requests. Customer care was my leading principle. Besides, I was working on extending our network and develop the relation with the services providers. Included in the marketing activity Ive represented our bussiness at several tourism fairs, in country and abroad. As a tour leader Ive guided groups sized upt to 15 people in Western Carpathians which is actually my area of expertise. Hiking and trekking all seasons, cultural and natural landscapes. Adding this to a long background in the non-profit sector I became very confortable with working and living in multicultural environments. In the non-profit sector I've worked long time in public relations and comunication as well as in developing relations with partners and collaborators. I am also very skilled at domestic works and activities as Ive been voluntering every sommer, in the last 10 years, at mountain cabins and guesthouses in Romania. I consider it is time for a change now and, in this respect, I am looking for a new challenge in terms of work and place for living. Currently Im living in Romania, the city of Oradea.
