International cell phones by kal1556
Is there a way to add funds to an old sim card from masmovil that we used last year prior to getting to Panama? We have an iPhone 5S.
Most carriers reserve the right to cancel a SIM card/phone number if it has not been used in the previous 30-60 days. Do not add any money to the SIM card or number until you get to Panama and verify the number is still valid. I know, I lost $5 that ... Read More

Crime and Internet ? by Sephius
Hi, I've 2 different things about Ecuador, one saying that is one of the South American countries with less crime and others saying violent crime is rising a lot in Ecuador, can anyone tell me which one is true? Specially in Salinas.. Other thing ...
It is my opinion that any large city - no matter where on the globe - is going to have crime. Just use common sense anywhere you travel. As to internet, I have DSL high-speed internet in Sangolqui, about 15 miles outside of Quito. Most large cities ... Read More

Hi! I would really appreciate any insight on bringing my dog and my car to Ecuador. Thanks!
