Introduction
I'm the author of the book, "Live Like a Local in Loja." I'm originally from the U.S. and have lived in many different states, but have also lived in Mexico; Loja, Ecuador; and Antarctica (South Pole Station). My book about Loja, Ecuador could be useful to anyone considering a move to anywhere in Latin America, since it includes sections on Spanish learning and Latin American culture and principles for integrating with the locals, aside from information specific to Loja. Expat experience
Love the climate, people, culture, music, language, cost of living and all the wonderful fresh food.
Can't really think of anything! But with my background in Latin America I am used to the way things operate. Many foreigners get frustrated in Loja, especially if they can't speak Spanish.
Worked for the U.S. Antarctic Program at the South Pole Station.
One of the most unique places in the world, fun people.
