I have built upon my professional experience within foreign affairs while assisting several diplomatic missions, including the Embassy of Mexico in Washington D.C., the Embassy and Permanent Representation of Mexico to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg in Brussels and the General Consulate of Mexico in Barcelona. I have in-depth knowledge and experience on the Europe-Latin America & the Caribbean bi-regional relation as well as in promoting international development and decentralised cooperation in both regions. I increased my knowledge on the bi-regional relation together and more specifically with the European Union-Mexico strategic partnership while assisting Political Affairs Officer on EU affairs in Brussels. More recently, I gained professional experience in development cooperation with international organisations and more concretely within the UN System when working at the UNESCO headquarters in Paris. Within the private sector, I've worked as a consultant for GlobalCAD, a firm that promotes sustainable and inclusive development through cross-sector partnerships offering technical assistance, strategic advice and capacity building. Moreover, I did internationalisation (market entry) support for ACCIÒ, the catalan agency for business competitiveness, where I assisted several European companies wishing to expand or invest into new markets. Currently I work at the foreign affairs office at the Barcelona Provincial Council where I assist in the efforts towards promoting small and medium cities internationally. I am fluent in Spanish, English and Catalan, while I speak a solid amount of French.
