I'm Lakshmi Dias, an English teacher from Sri Lanka. I'm married with two grown-up sons. Although I know the challenge in getting a teacher job overseas, this knowledge does not prevent me from applying, as it has always been a dream of mine. I've been a teacher (TESL) teaching students in primary, secondary and tertiary levels for more than 24 years in different parts of Sri Lanka. I have a Diploma in TESL and an undergraduate doing studies for Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics, English Literature and Methodology (TESL) at the University of Sri Jayawardanapura as an external student. Furthermore, I wish to sit for the final exam end of this year. Even though I understand the difficulty in getting work visa to be a teacher in another country, I sincerely hope I would be sponsored by a kind recruiter so that my dreams won't get shattered.
